At 65 pounds, Cash is just about the perfect size, and he is a great dog in many respects. He's an excellent waterfowl dog, having hunted ducks and geese in Colorado, Mississippi, Nebraska, and Canada, but he's also a terrific upland dog. Cash is a hammer on pheasants, blue grouse, quail, and chukar. Cash is a very handsome male and has an engaging personality. He is a superb all-around companion dog and gun dog. Roy has terrific marking and retrieving skills and is an excellent waterfowl dog for ducks and geese. Though he has a very gentle demeanor, Roy is "nails" on game and has a strong prey drive. Roy has a proven record as a hunt test dog, with a Hunting Retriever Championship (HRCh) in HRC and an AKC Master Hunter title. Roy also has passed the Master National hunt test, a great accomplishment for a title dog. The Master National is a very complicated week-long hunt test whereby a dog has to pass a very difficult test each day. One failure will flunk the dog. Nova is an own son of one of the most famous field trial Labs over the past 30 years, a Field Champion whose call name is "Cosmo", or "Dare to Dream", which is his papered name. Cosmo's owners saved several straws of semen, which were available after he died. If you could obtain a straw of that semen, pups from those litters sold for $5,000-$6,000. Nova is an enthusiastic dog with lots of retrieving drive. He is a gentle dog with lots of love and affection for his handler. Breedings are offered for qualified females ONLY.
Just because you have a Lab female doesn’t mean we will breed our stud dog to your female. If your female is squatty, overweight, oversized, has unimpressive bloodlines, and is generally unappealing, we may pass on the opportunity. Sorry, not sorry.
In order for us to consider breeding to your female, the female must be:
- AKC registered & pedigree provided
- OFA hips and elbows after 2 years of age
- Blood test for EIC and CNM and “clear” status
- Conformation, size, and weight to our standards
